The most surreal thing is that we still continue to make art these days. As if it still makes any sense. As if all the world horror happening wasn’t our fault too. As if global degradation of our profession wasn’t our fault either. As if what we do wasn’t just escaping from reality and pretending that nothing is going on — or that we have nothing to do with it.
